Then a stage comes when you have to believe your body symptoms that you are depressed even if you don't agree to yourself that it's the reality, and you have to make yourself thought free...I think I have faced tad more difficulties than the thing made me depressed...that's the truth and I have to pull back myself from that disgusting feeling of my mind....

His Guru, the famous saint Shah Inayat Qadri belonged to the ‘Arain’ or ‘Raeen’ caste, while Bulleh Shah belonged to the Syed caste (he was a direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad). Bulleh Shah had to face the resentment and taunts of his family and other ‘Syed’ friends for accepting the spiritual guidance of a non-Syed. Bulleh Shah rejected his critics’ false concept of inherent superiority and nobility of any caste through his poetry.
He explains through this poem that whoever calls him ‘Syed’ will be punished in hell and who ever calls him ‘Raaniya’ will be showered with blessings…because for him his Guru is everything and he does not want to be differentiated from the common ummaties.

(Bulleh Shah replies):
Why do you separate the Prophet’s and Ali’s decendants from the common people (why do you wedge a divide between the two)?
The one who calls me ‘Syed’ should be punished with hell
When a man steals your wife, there is no better revenge than to let him keep her.

Sacha Guitry
After marriage, husband and wife become two sides of a coin; they just can't face each other, but still they stay together.

Socrates
By all means marry. If you get a good wife, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Dumas
The great question... which I have not been able to answer... is, "What does a woman want?

Sigmund Freud
I had some words with my wife, and she had some paragraphs with me.

Anonymous
"Some people ask the secret of our long marriage. We take time to go to a restaurant two times a week.. A little candlelight, dinner, soft music and dancing. She goes Tuesdays, I go Fridays."

Sam Kinison
"There's a way of transferring funds that is even faster than electronic banking. It's called marriage."

James Holt McGavran
"I've had bad luck with both my wives. The first one left me, and the second one didn't."

Patrick Murray
On a separate evening around the same time, a young Muslim girl was walking home from college. Aware that it was getting dark fast, she wanted to get home as soon as possible, so her mother would not be worrying about her being outside alone at night. The young Muslim girl faced a dilemma. To take the short-cut down the same alleyway to avoid getting home after dark, or to take the longer route and have her mother worrying herself sick about her daughters safety. Conscious of the time, she takes the alleyway. While the girl is walking she sees a rather sinister and dark figure of a man walking towards her from the other end. As her pace quickens, she begins to read Ayat-ul-kursi for her safety. The man, he makes eye contact but carries on walking. When the young Muslim girl reaches home she tells her family about this sinister looking man, they advise her to contact the police, after having read the newspaper article some time before. When she contacts the police they ask her to give a physical description of the man. It matches the description the rape victim had given. Some days later the young Muslim girl receives a phone call from the police, asking her if she would come down to the police station to identify the man in a line up. Both the rape victim and the Muslim girl pick out the same man. The police are confused; they ask the rapist why he attacked one girl and not the other. In reference to the Muslim girl, he replies 'why would I attack her? When she was walking with two huge men on either side of her?
